Getting started with 22SIM

4 questions

22SIM is a global eSIM provider for travel, operated by TM APP GENERAL TRADING CO. WLL, registered in Kuwait City. We offer instant-activation mobile data plans for travelers and businesses in more than 220 countries, with transparent pricing from $2, no roaming fees, and 24/7 customer support in Arabic and English.

An eSIM (Embedded SIM) is a digital SIM built directly into your phone. Instead of inserting a physical card, you install a digital eSIM profile by scanning a QR code or tapping an activation link in the 22SIM app. The technology is fully GSMA-compliant and works on virtually every eSIM-capable smartphone released since 2018.

It takes 3 simple steps. Download the 22SIM app and choose the plan for your destination, complete your purchase securely via Apple Pay, Google Pay or a credit card, then scan the QR code or tap the install link — your eSIM activates automatically as soon as you arrive in a covered country. The whole process takes under 60 seconds.

Most phones released in the last few years support eSIM. Check your device settings for an “Add eSIM” or “Add Cellular Plan” option before you start.

Each 22SIM eSIM is tied to one device after first installation and can’t be transferred. To use 22SIM on multiple devices, purchase a separate plan for each — manageable from the same account.

No — Web is built to be disposable by design. Once it’s used, simply get a new one whenever you need it again. If you want an eSIM you keep long-term, Connect is the right choice.

Yes, all 22SIM plans support tethering and personal hotspot. Hotspot usage is deducted from your plan’s data balance; for heavy use we recommend larger data packages.
